Jigsauron is an archetype created by Taylor Gorrell, with assistance from Rocket Knight 777. They are comprised of monsters of varied Attributes and Types that evolve through different versions of their base monsters through Timewarp Summoning. The name "Jigsauron" derives from the word "jigsaw", as every monster in this archetype has an Attribute-color-coded jigsaw piece somewhere on their bodies, which has a function in their evolution process.
Play Style[]
According to Taylor Gorrell, the idea of a Jigsauron Deck is to "have every conceivable strategy available". Every various line has their own effects for different strategies, but each line has a common strategy: Gathering one of five different types of Piece Counters, either Fire, Water, Wood, Light, or Dark, to place themselves in the Event Horizon with the correct amount of Eon Counters to instantly Timewarp Summon their next form.
Every line's different forms share a generic name, followed by their "Version", noted by "V" plus a number, from V1 up to V4. However, most higher-form Jigsaurons can become one of multiple different monsters, taking a different name after being Timewarp Summoned. The conditions for which form the new Jigsauron takes include the number of Eon Counters they had while they were in the Event Horizon and the name their previous form had when they were placed in the Event Horizon. The most complex monsters can have up to 4 possible identities.
