'"Trump Fiend", or "Trump Demon" (切り札悪魔 Kirifuda Akuma) is an archetype created by Hawkatana. They are used by Raiz, a minor antagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh! Xross. They have a playing-card motif that revolve around 4 different attributes or "suits": Clubs (FIRE), Diamonds (EARTH), Hearts (WATER) and Spades (WIND), all based on the Minor Arcana in tarot cards.
Design[]
The Trump Fiends appear to be grotesque and demonic beings wearing bone-like armor emblazoned with a stylized logo of the symbol of their "suit" on the breastplate. The members are all based on 5 different kinds of cards in a deck of playing cards, being: Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Joker. All the "Club" monsters wield a staff, the "Diamond" monsters use disk-like weaponry like Shuriken or Chakrams and have a coin in their hand, "Heart" Trump Fiends are holding a chalice in their hands and have a dagger in hand, while the "Spade" Trump Fiends are armed with swords.

Play Style[]
Trump Fiend monsters often substitute themselves out through the use of spell & trap cards and their Driver monster: Red Joker, they either try to get out the King, Queen and Jack of their "suit" at the same time, or Overdrive Summon a particular "Ace" to combat a particular situation. Sometimes it's possible to get all 4 "Aces" out at the same time to overwhelm an opponent.
